Ideal for travellers already based near Bwindi or arriving from Kigali, Rwanda, this day experience brings you face to face with a wild mountain gorilla family in their natural habitat. - 5:30 AM — Early breakfast at your lodge near Bwindi
- 6:30 AM — Transfer to park headquarters for registration
- 7:00 AM — Briefing on gorilla behaviour and trekking guidelines
- 8:00 AM — Enter the forest with a park ranger and begin your gorilla trek
- Mid-morning — Locate the gorilla family and spend one full hour in their presence
- Afternoon — Receive your Gorilla Tracking Certificate at park headquarters
- Late afternoon — Lunch at lodge, optional village walk or nature trail
- Evening — Return transfer or overnight at lodge
- Standard Gorilla Trekking Permit: $800 per person
- Gorilla Habituation Experience (4 hours): $1,500 per person
